Earlier this year, we built out an integration between Airtable and Formstack Documents. Users from across industries have been taking advantage of this integration as it connects our automated document generation product with the Airtable database, enabling users to generate beautiful documents from the data they already have living within their Airtable base. We often get this question: What is the difference between Airtable’s Page Designer and Formstack Documents? Today, we want to break that question down for you. Let’s start with the basics.

What is Airtable’s Page Designer?

With Airtable’s Page Designer block, you can create your own custom invoices, business cards, catalogs, real estate feature sheets, casting sheets, and more—all using the data directly from your records. When you're done making everything look beautiful, you can print out your records or turn them into PDFs.

What is Formstack Documents?

With Formstack’s Documents product, you can eliminate paperwork and transform data into beautifully designed documents that can be delivered anywhere you need them to go. Feed information into your existing documents, or get started with a pre-built template that meets your needs. From proposals and applications to invoices and event tickets, Formstack Documents is flexible enough to meet the needs of your business, and your documents can be generated in multiple formats.

So What’s the difference?

Below is a comparison chart that showcases the differences between the Formstack Documents and Page Designer blocks within Airtable so you can determine which option is right for you.
